Is there anything a joint custodial parent ( in this instance the father) can do if his 2 yr. old is living with the mother and her boyfriend (who's an ex-con) in a motel room?

Assuming you are current on your child support and do not have anything bad in your background, I would suggest you go to your local juvenile court and file a petition for an emergency pickup and custody, or report to DHR and perhaps get quicker response. The bottom line is they are homeless, lack stability and not an overall good environment. Please let me know if I can be assistance you may contact me through my web site.
