Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

In my divorce I was married for 19 years,never worked a full time job mostly a stay at home mom.In my court papers I got child support for 3 children,the junk car,part of the equity in the house and a fixed sum as, alimony in gross.Is the alimony in gross taxable on my income taxes?

Alimony is taxable but you would need to consult your tax person to see how it would affect you considering you have dependents that you would claim.
