Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I was divorced 6 years ago after a 20 yr physically and emotionally abusive marriage. I was receiving therapy under a mental therapist and psychiatrist and was not mentally sound to make a legal decision. I am now on total disability. Can I appeal the decree since I received nothing but my clothes and car?

Almost certainly not. The trial court has lost jurisdiction in this matter, absent a showing of a fraud on the court or some other ground under Rule 60 of the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure. I suggest you speak with an attorney and attempt to learn if your facts will afford you any relief under Rule 60. You should have done this long long ago.
