Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
Establishing Paternity after death
My father died April 18, 2002 and there is no legal document verifying that I am his eldest child. My dad lived in New Jersey. The vital records in Alabama (state I was born)said that I could have my dad ''declared as a parent''. I am not sure if that is the correct title. I have several documents, my marriage license, pictures etc. with my Dad on them. What is the correct way to have my dad declared as my biological parent?

You need to call around for an attorney in Montgomery, AL, who is familiar with the procedures in AL and who will offer a free initial consultation.
