I assume the divorce was granted in one county in Alabama and she has moved the court to modify in another county in Alabama. The county in which the divorce action lies is called "Venue". Venue is proper in the county in which the original action was filed if one of you still lives there. THe modification of the divorce is a seperate action, but also a continuation of the original divorce. Your attorney should make a filing for a change of venue to move the action to the Judicial Circuit which granted the divorce in the first place.
