How could I go about changing state law on a Fathers rights concerning a minor child when no union or cohabitation between Mother and Father ever took place? How do I find out exactly what the laws are?

Alabama law is tricky in this area. If you were never married and did not register with the Putative Father's Registry, you may not have any rights. This is an area of evolving law and you can not do it alone. You will have to have an attorney if you wish to assert paternity.
