i am the father of a set of twins and there is no custody agreement set up i live in alabama and the children live in north carolina can i legally bring them home with me?

'did you sign the birth certificate or otherwise are you the legal father? If not, you need to take steps to be legally adjudicated the father and have a custody agreement made where you either get custody or visitation that allows you to bring them home with you. and, that you pay child support as well.
