Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

fighting an unfair child support judgement

I was involved in a child support judgement which was very unfair and was based on untrue testimony. This occurred about 15 years after our divorce just before the youngest child was 20 years old. The original divorce decree was not

changed so the judge enforced the original order when my exwife had sent the children to me shortly after our divorce

and they spent several years living with me. The judge said from the bench that there was no other alternative but

to enforce the order and make me pay child support during the years that I had the children in my custody with no child support. I discussed an appeal of this ruling and was

told ''it will be expensive and you will lose'' because the

judge just enforced the original court order from the divorce. I did not appeal this decision and now am in contempt of court. I feel like I have been legally robbed

with the blessing of the court.

My question is did this judge have any obligation to look at the circumstances since our divorce in making this decision ? Is there any action in my home state that can

be taken to protect myself and my assets which I don't feel my ex wife is entitled to?
