Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

My friend had put someone's name as a joined person in her bank account. His ex girlfriend has claimed that he owed her child support and recently consulted with a lawyer; Somehow, they got into my bank account and withdrew all the money from it and have closed the account . Can they legally do that when I am not the one who owed her the child support, and what can I do to get my money back? Thanks.

Please provide come additional facts here. If I assume that the account from which the money was taken was an account held in your name and the name of the father of the child, then the money was taken because it was in an account held by the father. If that is the case, then you must look to the father who owed the support. Be very careful about who you put on your bank account! Please re ask the question if I don't properly understand the facts.
