Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

My grandfather was a farmer. After his passing, he left my father and his siblings individual pieces of property. They share the taxes on unoccupied land. My father is now deceased. Are my sisters and I entitled to the property in which my father owned.Also, my fathers siblings allow their children to live on the property. Are we allowed to live their also.
