Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

my grandkids are basically living with me right now my one granddaughter is 15 she is a really good child makes real good grades in school and everything! well she has been datin this guy for almost 7 months she thinks he could be her highschool sweetheart and dont get me wrong he is a nice guy! well their mother for the past few months has basically abondoned them so they are staying with me over the summer. well my granddaughter lost her virginity to this boy but she does not want to tell her mother cause then her mother will try and step in and play the mother part and try to make it to where she cant see the boy. which is not right! so my granddaughter wants me to get her put on birthcontrol but it is supposed to be the legal guardian in which that does that but with me being her grandmother and her staying with me even though there is no legal proof that she is can i go and get her put on birthcontrol? without having to have her mother know or having to tell her mother
