Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Do Grandparents have any rights in Alabama?

I am 61 yrs old and have not seedn my great grandchildren in over a year. Neither has my daughter.

My granddaughter uses the children to control and manipulate the whole family. If her mother and I do not do exactly as she wants then we do not get to see

the children. Is there anything legally that we can do to see the children? All we want is to see them.

Re: Do Grandparents have any rights in Alabama?

there is a provision in the alabama code for grandparant visitation, however it is to complex and detailed for me explain in this writing. however under certatin circumstances a grandparant can bring a separate cause of action to petition the court to allow visitation with the grandchild. please call me if you wish to discuss the details of the alabama code section.
