Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
International adoption
My husband and I are interested in adopting internationally. He has had 2 DUIs and an Aaault III charge in the last five years. He obviously had made some bad choices. What are the chances that are homestudy will be approved for adoption? Also, would it be beneficial to have a psychological to attest to the fact that he does not have a drinking problem? Would it be better to postpone our adoption plans so that more time would have elapsed from these incidents? What is our best course of action?

Re: International adoption
I think your best bet might be to speak with the folks at the Dept. of Human Resources who handle adoptions, or an attorney who handles these on a regular basis.
