Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

legal marriage question

My girlfriend and I wish to get married. She is only 17 years of age and cannot obtain a parental consent from either parent. We realize that we can obtain this through pregnancy but do not wish to persue that step right now in our lives. I would like to know if there are any alternatives to our situation? It might also be helpful to tell you that we live in the state of Alabama, but if it requires us to go out of state to do this we will be willing. Thank you.

all that i can tell you is that if the person intending to marry is under 18 years of age the consent of the parents or guardians is required in alabama.
