Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I live in michigan. My daughter lives in boaz with my aunt who has custody. She is being abused and child protective services has been called a number of times (not by me) but nothing is being done. I do not have alot of money right now but want to get my daughter out of this situation before it drives her to do something stupid.What can I do???

You need a lawyer here in Alabama and to file a petition for custody. You would have to show that you are able and willing to take care of your child and that there is nothing, i.e., drug usage, prior convictions or instability in housing or employment, to prevent you from having custody of your child. You would have to file a petition to change that custody.
