how long do i have to continue to pay child support after my childs turns 18-and do i have to go and let them know or will they stop taking the money out of my check or will i get a notice

19 is the age and if your spouse takes you back to court to pay post majority child support you may have to continue to pay for college or higher education. If she does not, yes you have to go into the clerk's office and file to stop the payroll deduction.
