Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
If a man is married 14 years to a woman who lied on the marriage lisence with a false name and stolen social security number -and he did not who he was married to - would he need a divorce to divorce her- or is the marriage deemed invalid? In this instance, the woman had over 10 aliases and committed credit fraud too-----If a divorce is needed- could the man have to pay for any of the credit stealing since he had no prior knowledge she was doing this- as she intercepted all mail and most phone calls during weeddays at their home.

A marriage that is apparently valid can only be dissolved or annuled by a court action. You have to go to court to fix this.
