Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

maritial assets

I am a widow about to be married again. My question is when we get married does he have claim to my house that is in my name only. Also, there is a balance of approx $25,000 which he wants to pay off. If he does that does that give him any claim to my home. Thanks so much for your help.

It is possible that it could become a marital asset. You need a prenuptial agreement.
