marriage abandoment laws in alabama

me and my boy friend want to get married but he is still married but non legaly seperatiated thay have been for 7 years so if he was to file for abandonment on her becaues she left him thay have no kids together how long would it take for it to go threw and what would happend to make it go threw what would he have to do?

He needs to file for divorce. If she is agreeable, and probably is, the divorce could be done in 2-3 months.

I will be glad to handle your boyfriend's divorce. There is no such thing as common-law divorce in Alabama, so before you and your boyfriend can marry he must first divorce.
