Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I was married in nov.of 2000 , it did'nt work out. however we separated in 2001 and lost contact with each other for awhile. however i have been able to find him and he's livivng in california now and does not seem like he wants to divorce me now.. we have no property or children together. i'm wondering since he moved to california if i could get some monetary payment from him because i'm pretty much destitute right now. i have no car,no money and i'm livivg with my sister. i do make 120.00 dollars a month for cleaning my other sister house and constantly looking for work.. if you could please give me some advice i would appreciate it so much. i don'tknow who i can turn to. thank you so much

As a general rule you are not likely to get any spousal support for such a short term marriage with no joint asset and no children.
