Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Can a mother request the biological father to sign his rights away in Alabama. He has been incarcerated 2 times since her birth and has only seen her once. He has no intentions of supporting her or being a part of her life. I would like to have his rights terminated because i do not trust him. She is 6 1/2 years old. He lives in Lexington KY.

You say he is biological father. Is he not the legal father? If he is not, then he has no rights unless he attempts to assert them. If you were not married when child was born and have not had a paternity test, he has no legal rights.
