Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

My neice has a year-old baby by her "boyfriend". He owns a piece-of-crap car. He won't work, (he's had 3 or 4 jobs in the past couple of months, which he lasted an average of about three days!) Now, here's the problem...she has two jobs and no car. She is afraid if she makes him leave, he will take the car, her only transportation to work. Isn't there a way she can keep the car to go to work and care for HIS child, even if she puts him out?

She has no right to his car. She can go to court and have him adjudicated the father of the child. She can then get the court to order child support. She can put him out of her home.
