How to obtain divorce when spouse abandons the marriage and cannot locate them
My son married and a month after the marriage she left and cannot be found. What steps does he need to take to get a divorce. She had a drug problem. There are no children of this marriage and no property to settle. He just wants to get this divorce and move on with his life. Any information you can provide will be appreciated. He resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and her whereabouts is unknown.

a divorce suit can be filed and service obtained against the wife by publication. if no answer is filed a default judgment for divorce may be entered by the court.
