Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

If two parents go to a lawyer, have papers drawn, signed and notarized regarding child support will that be admissable in court? Are those papers considered a legal contract?

It could be ruled in a court to be a legal contract, but does not change the court order until it is submitted for the court to rule upon.
