Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Personal protection orders

How can my ex wife's mother get a restraining order against me for her daughter when she was not there at the time of the alledged incident, and admitted it to the judge, and how can my ex wife get another one (still pending) for the same alledged incident, with a diffrent judge? What happen to her word against mine? I did not say what they are accussing me of. And how after two lawyers do I find one that will help me in Tuscaloosa courts?

Re: Personal protection orders

Let me answer your last question first. You can find excellent lawyers on this site. Use the search function at the home page, enter your zip code, and enter the area "criminal law" (normally I would recommend looking under "family law" for a restraining order, but I note that there were no attys listed for your zip code under family law. However, crim law is close enough and a lawyer experienced in criminal law should be able to help you with a restraining order.)

Were you served with notice of the hearing? Has there been a hearing yet? You need to file an objection with the court and ask if it can be set for hearing, if there has not already been one. I would urge you to seek local counsel on this.
