Re: Questions on divorce and custody

until there is a court order, each parent of the child has an equal right to the custody of that child. each party should try and come to a mutual understanding as to temporary custody, support and paying of bills etc. however, if this cannot be achieved either party may and should petition the court for a temporary order covering concerns such as custody, visitation, child support, alimony, payment of bills etc. if agreement is not made within a few days a temorary order should be persued immediately in order to keep the status quo until the divorce is final. if there is any question at all about any one or more issues in the marriate (custody, support etc) a temporary order should be persued without delay. please feel free to call me at your convenience for more specific information at 205-879-9595
