Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Refusing to award custody based on Profession

Has there been a precedent set for parents being refused custody based on profession. If I feel that my children are in danger because my ex-wife is a Nurse and brings home all manner of various diseases and viruses, could I use this in court?

Re: Refusing to award custody based on Profession

the matter of custody of a minor child is always based on the best interest of the child. certainly the profession of each parent could enter into this equation, however, being a nurse would probably not weigh in very heavily. please call me if you wish to discuss this issue further. 205-879-9595
