If you are unmarried he does not have to provide you with a car. If you and he are married, however, you could take him to court and the judge may award you a car - this would be a contested divorce. The father of your children IS required under the law to provide you with child support if you have physical custody, whether you are married or not. Child support is your biggest, strongest and most easily enforced tool. Don't give it up - for a car or anything else.
