Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I have twin nieces (6 months old) they are under the temporary custody of the mother parents who is wanting to give them up for adoption to another family they parent of the children do not want them to be adopted out but are willing to allow me to adopt them, but the mothers parent are wanting to fight to have their "family" adopt them, who has no blood relation to them. is there anything I or the twins parents can do? or do the grandparents have the rights as they have temporary custody?

Have the parental rights of the twins parents been terminated? Will they be? Is this a DHR case? Is there an Individual Safety Plan in place? The grandparents don't have any rights to determine what happens to the children, only the court decides that. Please provide additional information so I can provide an answer to you. Good luck
