Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Uncontested divorce,

she paid for the divorce, do I owe her anything?

She also claims I owe her for food she bought while she was living in my home, do I?

She was paying nothing in my home. She stayed three days, no children. The divorce was uncontested sp there was no monetary mentions other than she paid for the divorce.

Re: Uncontested divorce,

In most divorces, the divorce settlement agreement spells out the total liabilities of each person to the other. If your divorce agreement did not say you had to pay her for any of these items, then you should not have an obligation to pay them. I would suggest that you take a copy of your divorce agreement to an attorney, so that he or she can look it over and explain your rights and responsibilities to you.
