Legal Question in Medical Leave in Alabama
Fmla
My wife and I are taking care of her mother who has alhimers (sic). I am being told by my employer that I do not qualify for the FMLA to take care of a mother in law since I am not in the military. Is this true?

Re: Fmla
I believe the employer is correct. The regulations to the FMLA state that taking care of a parent is covered, but specifically state that a parent "in law" is not.
