Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

My 18 year old daughter has been the topic of disscusion on Facebook for nearly 2 years. Some old 'friends' from High School in Pelham AL have been posting comments and pictures of her. She has removed them as her friend on Facebook, and she has tried to stop this bullying. It started with a girl who liked a guy that my daughter now dates. She has had a package dropped by the house on her car last year with contents of boy's clothing with a note that she needed to know what her boyfriend was doing. We called the police, but no 'damage' had taken place. Pictures have been posted (and altered) to indicate that my daughter is an old 'grandmother', etc. She has tried to:

1. laugh with them

2. ignore them

3. confront them

4. block/remove as friend

She is now showing signs of insecurity and fear that they will do something to her car, etc.

What legal action can be taken? Please help.

Your daughter must notify the parties in writing that they are to cease and desist their behavior immediately as it is harassing and causing her distress, anxiety, ect. You can search a Cease and Desist template and change the wording to apply to her situation. Ensure you specifically list the incidents that have been harassing in nature along with the dates of the occurrences. Provide as much detail as possible. You can mail this notification certified signed receipt, which will prove they received the notice. In addition state that if they continue their behavior you will be forced to press harassment charges against them. Once a person has been formally notified they are to have no further contact with a person and their friends and family, they should comply. If not, take your Cease and Desist notice along with the documented continued harassing behavior to your local police office and file harassment charges.
