Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

Bobby and his agreement

a nonprofit rescue unit sales a member a car in exchange for services he can render in mowing yard and if he doesnt fufill the agreement he is too pay remaining balance off in cash.......well over 1yr later he has mowed 3 times and paid $5.00 stills owes 245. in mean time looses a 300. radio and hasnt replaced it. the payment of 5.00 was received oct 6th of this year and members feel he is not going to pay.......he is working 3 jobs 1 legaly 2 being paid cash...the members want to take him to small claims and charge for remaing balance of car/radio/filing fee/court cost/pluss wages for members missing work.......he doesnt have a good attendance record he claims alot of the lack of attendance is because of work we have been told alot of it isnt.....one member works with him and comes in late to meetings when they run late enough but he doesnt show.....he has been approached with this dept many times......what do you suggest?

Go ahead and take him to small claims court...you may never collect however.
