death from cancer due to pcb's from company in enviroment

both my parents grew up in the same town and both died of cancer. many people in this town had cancer and sued a large company and won a monentary judgement last year, for their practice of dumping chemicals into enviroment. my dad lived within 5 miles of company and had many of the conditions said to be caused by these pcb's. also our whole family used to go swimming in the creek that was in the area of cotamiination. Is it to late to seek damages in my family behalf?
