Personal Loan
I loaned a former girlfreind $10,000 to place on a down-payment for a house and have a promissary note from her to repay me the amount by Aug 2002. Can I sue her in Small Claims and is there a law that allows me to charge interest on the loan since she is delinquent?

Small claims court jurisdiction is $10,000.00 or less. You can charge the interest in the note, if it provides for interest, or you may charge 6% simple interest per year by law ($600.00/year).
