F1 to H4 Visa Conversion

Right now I am a student with F1 status. What is the procedure to change status to H4 after getting married to a person with H1 Status.

Apply for a change of status before your f-1 expires. Use form I-539, which you can get at the INS website (google: search word: immigration and naturalization service) Glen

You have to file for a change of status to H-4 on form I-539 and provide supporting documentation as to how you qualify for derivative status, i.e. proof of marrige and your spouse's H-1 status.

You may want to consider whether it is the best option for you. In many cases, after completing a degree, you are issued Optional Practical Training. This entitles you to work for one full year. In H-4 status, you are not authorized to work at all.
