Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Alabama

i want to know law about image copy right,if i copy a image from a blog and advertise in paper,and after few month a get call/email/letter from a website onwer that he has copyright of that image and he want 25 lakh from me,what should i do?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. If you infringe on someone's copyright, you are liable and can be sued for damages. If the owner in fact has a legal copyright (you need to get proof from him) then you either pay now or pay a potentially much greater amount later. Consult with a good intellectual property or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
