Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Alabama

my sister died 5 years ago and I have custly of her daughter. she is 17 now. some people Va sent for her, so she went there without telling me. Now the People in Va want me to give them cousty. what are my right? Can these people be prosucuted. For kid nipping?

If you have legal custody, court papers and all, then all you need to do is to contact the authorities in Virginia and provide the papers for them to pick the child up. If you do not have legal papers, you have more of a fight on your hands to get legal custody and you would need to file a petition. Please contact me if I may be of assistance to you.
