Legal Question in Employment Law in Alabama
10 years ago my husband was promoted to chief of police at a college campus; the previous chief was elected as a state representative but he still publicize himself as the chief of police at the college and my husband's promotion was never in his personnel file. On the college web cite my husband is listed as the chief of police and the assistant chief of police. Everyone else as only one job title. Does he have any recourse?

it's politics. Keep the job and don't worry about the state representative. The college sends your husband the check so I wouldn't make a stink about it. Especially if the promotion was never placed in his personnel file - he could just be the Acting Chief of Police.
