Is it legal for a company to video tape their employees without notifying them t

A friend of mine called me today and where she is employed the company has installed hidden camcorders and the employees are being recorded and none of them have been notified that it was taking place. Is this legal?

They can probably do it so long as it does not violate a union contract or create an invasion of privacy situation, such as restrooms. If it is only in normal work areas, then they are probably within their rights. You should meet with an attorney to discuss the full situation. good luck.
