Legal Question in Employment Law in Alabama

I was having a romantic relationship with my boss. His wife found out and I was fired. Is this wrongful termination?
I have text messages stating the real cause of my termination. He even stated that he would pay me money lost because he felt as though I would get my job back eventually. She called me today saying that I would not be employed there any longer. I live in Alabama.
