unsafe work place

my daughter worked for a convent store.she was mugged after locking the doors. the owners of the store put in a guard for about a week. so she went back to work. then they took him away. and about 2 weeks later a girl was raped inback of the same store.and my daughter was work at the time. They refused to put two employee in the store. So when the girl was raped. my daughter quite her job. They act like they dont care if any one get hurt or killed. do we have a lawsuite?

As your daughter was not raped she does not have a cause of action against them for failing to provide a safe working environment. Such cases are notoriously difficult to win, and also, convenience store owners are notoriously difficult to even find to sue - unless it is a corporate chain of them.

However she should have a decent claim for unemployment benefits. She had a bona fide reason for quitting and while they may oppose it, she should get her benefits - provided she otherwise qualifies. Good luck.
