Legal Question in Employment Law in Alabama

Whistleblowing

Recently OSHA came into my place of employment. Despite my asking not be identified I was. My name was released upon their arrival. Less than two weeks later I was terminated from my position. However, there is no termination report on me but I am not working. I suspect the lack of a termination report is to cover the company. I suspect that by my not working they are waiting for me to find other employment. I do not wish to sue if I don't have to. I am quite happy about no longer working there but and concerned about explinations to potential employers. How do you explain this? What if anything, can I do?

Re: Whistleblowing

I can't advise you what to tell other employers, if the truth will not suffice. I can tell you that you should contact OSHA as soon as possible because your time to file a complaint is very limited.
