............ i really need help... i recently signed a lease wit a roommate..lik two months ago, he moved out twice has only paid 50 bucks for a water bill.. no rent or anything else... so ive had to pay all tha bills ie. water power n cable.. in my lease it states that .. if one roommate was to move out that their still required to pay their half of all bills and rend or find a acceptable roommate approved by all other roomers.... i went to the leasing office and told them what has happened,, mind u this has happened before tha same person as tha time before... the office manager is insiting that weather or not i pay my part of the rent n he dosent that ill still get kicked out!!! even after explaining to her what has happened and what was going on. also tha day before i went up there the other guy went up there n she didnt tell him anything as far as him having to pay anything but when i go in there its all on me.... and im not even the main leasee.... it also state in my lease that if tha utilities get cut off i can get kicked out as well,, after r this she simply states well thats not my problem, but how am i responsable for all the rent and bills if were both on the lease?? also why would i get kicked out if i pay my half as it states in tha contract n he doesnt ...??? even tho its not me????? ..........PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!.......

Hey, listen to what you said. You signed the lease and promised to pay, no matter if your roommate moved out or not. You are not paying. You will be evicted. You signed a lease that said you are "jointly and severally liable" for all of the bills. That means that even if he moves out you have to pay or move out. Pay attention to the lease document next time.
