If you don't renew a lease, and the terms of the lease are silent, then you are a month to month tenant. What you don't tell me is -- have you paid your rent? I am assuming the rental unit is habitable and in good shape. What you received is a letter showing that you have not paid your rent on time, and that you now owe back rent and an attorney's fee. You must answer the eviction (it is a lawsuit in District Court) and show the court that you did not miss any rent payments. If you have not paid your rent (Apparently she says the last rent you paid on time and in full was January's rent) you will be evicted and you will have a judgment taken against you for the rent for the time you were there plus an attorney's fee. What rent did you pay? When did you pay it?
