Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Alabama
What do I do when I sold a mobile home, and the buyer never transfered it in there name?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Unless there is an injury or something of that nature, it should not cause you problems. If they fail to transfer it into their name, and likewise fail to pay for a tag or the property taxes, then it can be sold by the state for those taxes and it would be their loss not yours. You obviously would have cancelled any homeowner insurance, and if not you should. If it is on your property, you can file a suit for the removal. There are many questions which linger as to why you would ask the question as right off the bat I do not see any reason this would cause you grief. Please contact me or provide me with additional information and I will happily attempt to respond.
