Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Alabama

i was attacked in june of 08 by about 10 people along with my husband. when we file a report with the police dept. they didn't take pictures of us until the nurses had cleaned my husband up. my husband actually had to have reconstuctive surgery, 2 so far with 1 to go. so far no one has been arrested. the chief investigater for the da's office said the case has been dropped, but the investigater for the police dept. says it's going to the grand jury. i'd like to sue the county for failure to prosecute or negligence, what ever it qualifies as. also i want to file a civil suit against our attackers. so far i've been unable to find a lawyer to do this. could someone help.

You can't sue the county. You can sue the attackers if you have their names and you have witnesses willing to testify. If you are not getting any help from the county and you do know their names, why not contact the State Attorney General's office?
