Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Alabama

injured in a surgery,face@chin,drill-got of surgeons hand
I would like to know if I can persue a legal action against a doctor. I was damaged in surgery, due to a drill slipping from a surgeons hand. Cannot get any help in my area because lawyers feel its not big enough money to persue.My face is permanately,scared,.
