Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

My neighbor came over to my house and pounded on my door, when i answed it she started yelling and threatening me. I told her to leave and she grabbed my hair and yanked it and threw me against porch railing and bruised my arm bad.She tore a big patch of hair out of my head.I filed a complaint and she is on warrant to be arrested.What kind of damages can i sue for? My head is throbbing ever since. I am thinking of seeing Dr. about it. What should i do??

If you are injured then by all means see a doctor. Unfortunately though, recovery for this type of injury in other than small claims court are not likely. For one, this person is probably not insured. Second, she's probably not wealthy enough to write you a check for several thousand dollars without a problem. That means an attorney is unlikely to pursue the claim for you. You might try filing your own District Court claim and ask for less than $10,000 and see what it gets you when you tell your side of the story. A judge would give you some money. She may also have to pay criminal restitution as well which would get you some money.
