Injury on the job--lost a finger--negeligence

I got hurt at work,with the same truck that was suppose to have been fixed weeks ago.The boss knew

that the truck wasn't fixed,but I didn't know.and with that I lost a half joint on my left hand.I need to know can I get compensated for the pain and suffering,partical disability with my hand.Do i need

to hire a lawyer?

It is doubtful that you can receive compensation for pain and suffering under the Alabama Workers' Compensation Act; however, there are some exceptions if the acts were "willful and intentional" or if you gave them written notice of a specific rule violation within 6 months of the injury.
